Trae's First BMX Race

Trae competed in his first BMX race last Saturday and did so good! He has been wanting to do BMX racing for a long time now. We knew he would be great at it, and really good for him because of his aggressive competitive nature. He's only been to the track one other time before Saturday, and they usually recommend about 4-6 weeks of practice before entering a race.  But Trae really wanted to get out there and race!  I was really nervous that he wouldn't be able to keep up, but boy was I wrong! You would have never known it was his first race!  He did so great!   Brody has been wanting to do it just as bad if not more as well. He wanted to get out there so bad! We let him ride the track on Trae's bike and he did really well for his first time, especially since Trae's bike is way too big for him. We are still looking for a bike for Brody. The BMX racing bikes are sooo not cheap. We got lucky with Trae's bike and found a really good one for a great deal on craigslist a while back. But as soon as we find a bike for Brody he will be racing too. He can't wait!
