I feel so incredibly blessed and honored to be a Mother today. My heart is so full. I am so blessed to have three BEAUTIFUL children who love me unconditionally. But being a mom isn't always easy is it? There are days that I feel so overwhelmed and sometimes find myself thinking, "I just can't handle it today"! But on those days I take a deep breath and remember that this is the highest calling and the most amazing gift given to me by my Heavenly Father. Being a mom is one of the HARDEST, jobs in the world. But it is also the most REWARDING, and FANTASTIC thing you can ever do in this lifetime. I just thank the Lord with all my heart for allowing me this amazing gift. My mom sent me this beautiful poem:
A Mother's love is something
that no one can explain,
It is made of deep devotion
and of sacrifice and pain,
It is endless and unselfish
and enduring come what may
For nothing can destroy it
or take that love away . . .
It is patient and forgiving
when all others are forsaking,
And it never fails or falters
even though the heart is breaking . . .
It believes beyond believing
when the world around condemns,
And it glows with all the beauty
of the rarest, brightest gems . . .
It is far beyond defining,
it defies all explanation,
And it still remains a secret
like the mysteries of creation . . .
A many splendered miracle
man cannot understand
And another wondrous evidence
of God's tender guiding hand.
My mom is such a perfect example of this poem. I love her with all of my heart and have such a deep profound love and respect for her. She has been there through the good and bad times, and will always be there for me.

Nikki, it's like almost 10:00 p.m. Sunday night and I finally have time to come check my e-mails and thought I would check the blogs too and saw what you put. It brought me to tears! These are the pay days of all the hard work of raising 5 beautiful children. The cards and gifts that you children have given me have made me feel so blessed this Mother's Day and every day. I love you and your siblings so much! Thank you for letting me be your mother and sticking by me through the good times and the bad. I miss you too and hope to have you close by to us again soon!
